Yes, your toes should really be touching the end of the toe box! This is to avoid the boots fitting too loose once broken in, and prevents blisters and discomfort in shins or calves.Lacing your skates pulls your heel back into the heel cup, and gives you a true idea of how much room you have in the toe box. To get a true idea of fit, you need to lace up your skates. Ideally, your toes will lightly brush the front of the skates when laced up.Your skates will feel more snug than your street shoes! This gives you maximum performance and minimizes discomfort. If you have a size that is outside of the range listed below book an appointment so we can discuss what size is best for you. You are now ready to use our sizing calculator! Select your range in millimeters in the down menu menu below. Take note of the length to the nearest 16th of an inch or the nearest mm. Gently move your foot off of the tape measure. Place a box just at your toes, put your weight on the foot you are measuring, lean slightly forward, and give your toes a wiggle (if the box nudges forward a little that's fine!). Lay the tape out with the zero starting at the wall. A wall (without moulding sticking out at the bottom).A tape measure with measurements starting at the beginning of the tape, without a gap (ideally, a fabric tape measure).Time will tell regarding the lastability of them, but overall, I’m pleased! Given, I’ve only skated in them for a little bit but so far so good! Feels comfy indoor on my smooth concrete garage floor, and outside on the cement road. ![]() ![]() I love the look of them and I actually like the stock wheels a lot. No issues with either boot veering off to one side. Also, I examined the plate mounting, and that too, is legit. That doesn’t really bother me, surprisingly. I chalk it up to the parts being made in China probably on a mechanical assembly line so of course the aluminum plates will have scuffs. But the boot and suede were pristine to me (and I’m picky af). (I do also really love my Lollys FYI) I can see why people would mention something about there being scuffs on the aluminum plate because mine have those as well (and they do seem a little cheap, maybe even a little more so than the Moxi BB). The suede quality seems equal to the Lollys as well, but they are more padded, and the insole is softer and squishier than the Lollys which I like. Verdict: The Moonboots are super comfy, and yes they do fit wider than the Moxi Lollys, but both are comfortable imho. I’m still waiting for shipping notification.Ĥ/9- I said f*ck it I love the color and ordered the Sapphires from Pigeon’s Skate Shop’s sudden drop and received them yesterday (clearly way faster shipping if you order from a skate shop) so I was willing to take a chance.ģ/19- by pure dumb chance and luck I was able to order the final drop of the Cosmic Quartzes (the Grindstone collab and THE PRETTIEST color- I never thought I’d be able to get them). but dammit they’re SO pretty and look SO good. which made me wary of ordering from them. It seemed to me that there were slightly more negative reviews of them, mainly concerning major shipping delays and quality, (a few people said their boots and hardware looked scuffed) and a couple people said their plates were not mounted straight/properly. When I first heard about MLR skates I looked at pretty much all the YouTube reviews, unboxings, IG videos, and posts on here to see what they were about. Just received my MLR Sapphires today and got to skate in them a bit and wanted to post my two cents of them. ![]()
